Join the AACC & Five Star Bank for an Important Fraud Prevention Seminar!

Fraud continues to evolve, making it more important than ever to stay informed and protected. Join the Arcade Area Chamber of Commerce for an insightful presentation led by Mark D. Laskoski, Director of Fraud Risk Management and Missy A. Mau – AVP, Yorkshire Branch Manager of Five Star Bank, who will share valuable information on today's most common fraud threats and how you can safeguard yourself and your business. The seminar will take place on Wednesday, June 24 at 9:00 am at the Arcade Area Chamber of Commerce office – 228 Main Street in Arcade.

During this one-hour session, Mark will discuss: Check Fraud, ACH Fraud, Fraud Prevention Best Practices, Current Fraud Trends and Statistics, and Real-Life Fraud Cases and Lessons Learned.

This informative presentation will also include time for questions and discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to gain practical knowledge from an industry expert.

The Arcade Area Chamber of Commerce and its member businesses are proud to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with our Shop Local promotion, and we invite you to be part of it! When you shop locally, you help strengthen our economy, support area businesses, and invest in the community we all call home.

  • Shoppers are encouraged to save their receipts from purchases made at any Arcade Area Chamber of Commerce member business (Visit www.arcadeareachamber.org for full list) beginning Wednesday, July 1 and ending Friday, September 4, 2026. Receipts must be originals and have entrants’ detailed contact information (name, address, email address, phone number, and what business the receipt is from) written clearly on the back.

  • Receipts must be submitted to our office or a local drop box location (listed below) by Sunday, September 6, 2026. Drop boxes will be at the listed locations from Wednesday, July 1 through Sunday, September 6, 2026.

  • Every $25 worth of purchases makes the shopper eligible for one entry in the drawing for prizes.

  • The drawing will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

  • Prizes are donated through the generosity of local businesses, including one prize of $250 in Arcade Area Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificates!

  • Arcade & Attica Railroad - family of four Steam Engine Excursion gift card

How to participate in the Shop Tri-County for America 250 Promotion:

Save receipts of purchases made between Wednesday, July 1 and ending Friday, September 4, 2026 at AACC Member businesses; including but not limited to retail shops, restaurants, grocery stores, hair salons, gas stations and attractions. Eligibility:

The promotion is open to shoppers 18 years of age and older.

Every $25 worth of purchases will make you eligible for 1 entry in the drawing for the listed prizes.

There is no entry fee and no purchase from the Chamber is required for entry. Additional entries cannot be purchased.

Current employees, directors and family members are ineligible for the prize portion of this promotion.

The Prizes, Drawing & Redemption:

Prizes from various businesses will be listed on our website.

The drawing will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Winner need not be present and will be notified by phone, mail or email.

All prizes may be picked up at the Chamber office.

Any prize not claimed within thirty days of winning will be forfeited by the winner.

Prizes are not transferable, and may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash

Prizes are limited solely to those items explicitly set forth herein and shall not include any other expenses, incidentals or taxes that may arise out of the winner’s receipt of this prize.

Conditions:

Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. 

By participating in the promotion, winners agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this promotion without additional financial or other compensation.

All other costs related to prize delivery and acceptance is the responsibility of the winner including but not limited to all federal, state and local taxes. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash redemption or prize substitution is allowed. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an advertised prize becomes unavailable.

The Chamber reserves the right to modify the promotion rules and dates at any time for any reason.

By participating in this promotion, you agree to be bound by these rules, any modifications thereof, and by all other rules imposed by the Chamber.

Failure to comply with the promotion rules may result in the entrant’s disqualification.

The Chamber is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the promotion or in the announcement of a prize.
